Ruru Class

In Term 2 Ruru and Hoiho collected their waste for 24 hours and sorted it into groups. They discovered that most of the rubbish was glad  wrap  or other lunch box packaging. They researched ways that they could reduce the amount of waste in their lunch boxes. This week Nicky from Enviro-schools came in to help the children make  beeswax   wraps . These can be used as a glad  wrap  alternative and used over and over again.

 Nikau is proud of her very informative writing about her iwi. Eddie is proud of his neat handwriting this week.  Luke is proud of his very detailed recount of his trip to Gore for ice hockey. Lillian is proud of her creative acrostic poem about school.
