Ruru Class

After 2 weeks of cooking and some serious deliberation from our panel of judges, I am pleased to announce the winners of Ruru Class My Kitchen Rules 2018 as Caio and Harrison of Amigos restaurant. Congratulations boys! I think the smiles say it all. Each child has taken a recipe book home including all the meals that have been cooked so you can try them at home.

After reading the book 'The Marble Maker' we made some marbles using Fimo clay and glitter. Then we researched some marble games in groups and taught them to the rest of the class.

In Term 2 Ruru and Hoiho collected their waste for 24 hours and sorted it into groups. They discovered that a lot of the rubbish was made up of tissues . We thought about what was used before tissues andd ecided to make hankies. Mrs Ramsey came in with her fancy sewing machine to help us. These are a tissue  alternative that can be used over and over again.

We have had a busy few days in Ruru Class cooking mains and desserts for our panels of judges. The groups have done amazingly and produced some fantastic food! The scores are very close with 2 teams still to cook!

After travelling all over the world, the Gingerbread Man finally decided to return with all his friends! Great surprise for the class!
