Ruru Class

As Matariki started today we have been learning about the kites and stars of Matariki. Check out the awesome display we made today.

This week we have a visit from Harry the dog and his friends at the Council so they could teach us how to be safe around dogs. At the end Harry did some trick for us, he was very clever!

In class we have been doing lots of work around fractions. See if you can use everyday opportunities at home such as cooking to use the language, i.e. half a cup, quarter of an apple etc .

At the beginning of the term we visited Camp Glenorchy and Glenorchy School to research ways to make our school more sustainable. Ask your children what they saw and learnt. Here are some photos of the day.

Great to see the children loving to read so much that they are doing it in their spare time before school. Nice work girls!
